Double vision is a hard one to describe .
Like you, this is what I have, and I would call it double vision.
Back in my earlier days, when my sight was v bad,it was a lot worse..but again not see two of things.
I have to Re-focus all the time.makes life a bit difficult...
Do you feel nauseated when it happens? That should be the case if it is double vision.
There are so many things that go on with your eyes.
Mine tend to drift down and to the right.
Can't open my right eye in the morning for a half hour.
I see silver balls and black spots all the time.
Use to see spiders in my right vision , running up and down the curtains and across the keyboard!
I have lost contrast and lots of colour but that's getting better.
If in doubt, ask the dr who is asking you, what do they mean? But don't let them put you off. If it is not what they say, tell them what you experience. Let them know every detail.
Cath.

try this: look into the distance. cover one eye and keep looking for at least 10 seconds. then take your hand away. if you have double vision I bet you will see two images for a second before your eyes adjust. someone looking at you might see your eye move right as you take your hand away.
