Hi all,
went and saw my NO for my follow up since after my programmable LP shunt I was still having right eye papilla edema. Well the good news is that the edema is down and peripheral vision is improved. He told me that there is chronic long term swelling it can take a while for the edema to go down...it has been almost 4 months since my shunt surgery, my headaches have stopped and the sharp pains I used to get in my left lower abd. quadrant have gone away. I am actually starting a contractual job next month for OT. Even though I know that shunts may clog or last about 10 years I am so happy and blessed to take feeling good one day at a time. You have all been my rock when I was going through so much and feeling so down and hopeless. Thank you my special angel friends! mluv, Jazzy

I went to my NO yesterday and I had no palpilledema either.
I've been having headaches, back pain and even some leg pain so I was terrified, but thank goodness it has not affected my eyes. I've actually not had any headaches of back pain today, so, I wonder how much of it is anxiety, being so scared it will come back. It did all start this time last year.
