I knew that 18/10 stainless steel was the best of the stainless to use for cooking, and when I bought several new Cuisinart pieces, the noted 18/10 mark on the bottom was absent, so I called the company to see if they changed the basic set items. No, they are 18/10 I was told. That turned out to be incorrect information, and when I discussed this issue with them again recently about a stainless lasagna pan, they said again that it was 18/10. I said then why isn't it marked on the bottom as such? Plus, I told them that the description on Amazon stated that the lasagna pan was 18/10, but with pan in hand, there was no such mark on the bottom. I was told to hold on.... she returns to tell me that they are actually not 18/10 and that info has also (I noticed within 2 days) now been removed from the Amazon site.
Anyway, having noted varying degrees of metallic tastes, I wanted to be rid of such, thus I changed the way I cooked.
