Unfortunately these are some of the side effects for diamox. Although it can be annoying this is the best alternative in my opinion. Try coconut water or potassium supplements for the tingling. You might have to find another drink besides soda because the taste just gets worse with time. Some days are better than others but could be much worse. In my case the my body wouldn't accept the diamox after about a year and it's been downhill since. I wish I could go back on diamox. I have tried taken potassium but it does not help me with the tingling, i have tried everything my doctor told me to but nothing works. I have come to the consing that i will have to live with the tingling. As far as the cokes tasting like metal i have given up drinking cokes or anything caffeinated and lemonade because i can't stand the taste of metal.

And another new side effect is the fact that my taste buds have changed i use to like sweet things but now i can not stand the taste of something that is really sweet, which sucks because i REALLY REALLY want ice cream..

The medicine seems to be working everyday my head is hurting less and less, but the pressure in my head before he put me on this medicine was 210 and i have a lot of CSF around my eye's so i would go blind in my left eye 2 or 3 times a day. Normally how long does it take for this medicine to fully work

Sorry that didn't work for you. I usually notice a difference right away. However my neuro says 2-3 weeks.

I recently started taking diomox as well. I can no longer drink any sodas. It causes my hands, feet, and mouth to tingle really bad, as well as ringing in my ears and pressure headache. I also have severe nausea and loss of appetite.
