Hi all.
It's been a very long time since I've been on the board. I'm sorry to see so many newbies, but glad you found this site. As, it was very helpful to me 2 1/2 years ago when I was first diagnosed.
I'm doing really well, thankfully, and living a very normal life. However, I've had a strange symptom lately and I'm not sure if it's related to Diamox. Wanted to see if any of you have dealt with it. I'm on 2500mg/day, so a fairly high dosage. My fingernails have become whitish and are separating from the nail bed. It's starting to get painful. And, my fingertips are very wrinkly. If i push my fingernail into them slightly, the indent stays. It's weird. I had blood work done to check for iron deficiency and to make sure my kidneys and liver are functioning ok, and everything has come back normal. Next step is a dermatologist to see if it is a skin issue, but I thought I would check in to see if Diamox has caused any similar problems for any of you.

I've developed nails that literally shred at the tips. I don't know if that's due to the 3000mg/day of Diamox or not. My hair is awful, too. I'm going to try a small vitamin D supplement and see if that makes a difference.
