You know your body better than anyone. No one on here should sway you from giving blood if you feel comfortable doing so. Our stories are here to let you know how we did when we had it done, but that doesn't mean it is is going to happen to you; it might but it may not. We are here to support you with whatever you ultimately decide.

I also wanted to add to your other post that if you do not normally have a problem with giving blood, you may not run into the same problem I did. When I mentioned I had a bad headache after one of the times I gave blood, I didn't drink any caffeine before hand and didn't eat much. So, it was really my fault.
I think it's wonderful that you want to do something for your husbands friend.

I know that you guys aren't telling that it will happen or that I shouldn't but I value your opinions and experiences. The truth is I've never been able to give blood before because when their has been blood drives in our area I was either working, pregnant, just had shots, or had kids with me so there has always been some reason why I can't and that frustrates me. I tend to over think things too but I'm just trying to decide am I at a place right now if something happens and I get a bad headache/vision changes can I take the time I need to deal with it. And the guilt from even thinking about that instead of just going and helping this guy that is in need makes me mad at myself! I tell you I seriously iver think things! :-)
