I feel like last night I had a black out in my eye last night has anyone else experienced this? My light in my eye has been horrible today and just been a bad day over all

I used to have blackout of vision prior to the shunt but it would only last a couple seconds. This usually happened if I did something to raise my pressure such as coughing or laughing, but sometimes without warning. Once it passed I didnt feel any lasting effects that I remember though. Hope you feel better soon.

Hi Mary, I use to get a lot more before the shunt but now its really only fleeting.
But before the shunt, I could lose sight in my eye for a few hours.
It was such a strange feeling. It would start like a curtain closing, but go up rather than down. It would take a min or two but then, nothing, blind it that eye. It could last mins or hours.
The first few times, I panicked, but after that just let it be.
There didn't seem to be any thing that could be done.

Now, I would nt advise that for you mind! Try and get to see your dr, if only to chart it. I'm not sure they can help but you do need to find out why it has happened.Especially,as they don't know whats going on with you yet.
But I would say, its another IIH symptom to add to your ever increasing list!
