Does anyone have any suggestions for weight loss programs? My Dr told me that only if I had a recent significant weight gain would it have impacted the PTC, but what I'm reading on here is that weight can have a lot to do with it. I'm on Diamox and it makes me so sick to my stomach, with awful heartburn! I'm also on a round of steroids right now which I'm assuming is messing with me as well.
I've always struggled with my weight, but I really feel like this could be a way to at least try something non medication related.

Any input on diets or programs would be greatly appreciated!

Nicole, I have to say, the new WW program that they have right now is awesome. My husband even does it with me. We have both lost 30lbs since starting in Feb and do NOT feel deprived of any foods. You really have to be accoubtable and track all your stuff correctly but it does work. Good luck!

I agree , I have lost over 20 since February. You have to track everything you put in your mouth though !

I use Fatsecret also to track carbs! I was diagnosed after an 18lb weight LOSS. I've been doing low carb/high fat/moderate protein after reading Gary Taubes "Why we get fat and what to do about it" book after my gf was doing it and was eating so well lots of food and losing weight. It works for me to count carbs I don't find it complicated and I get plenty to eat all day long never feel hungry or deprived so... it was weird getting used to trying to include enough fat cause that is way opposite of what I ws used to (though I've NEVER been a 'dieter') but I just efforlessly lose weight and feel great except for the IIH and Diamox symptoms.

since i've been on diamox i've been losing about 3 ish pounds a month. it really hasn't been me trying just with out soda ( which i used to drink all the time) caffeine. also i've notice i'm eating smaller amounts of food not changing the food i eat just eating less of the food i like to eat.
