I have been having these dizzy spells recently and also, some headaches above my eyebrows and on top of my head. So, I called my NS and they said that dizziness would most likely not be related to the VP shunt.
Well, I went to my pcp yesterday and they told me it could be allergies...wth?? So, they gave me some allergy nasal spray meds and a steroid shot in my hip and sent me on my way. Last night I noticed I was getting blurred vision, but didn't know if it was due to working in front of a computer all day or what? Well, today, the dizziness and blurred vision are still with me.
Keep in mind, these are some of the same symptoms I had prior to getting diagnosed with PTC. I have an appt with my neuro-opth next week, but I called and left him a message about my symptoms, since I know he will listen to me because he knows I never complain...sorry for this to be so long :( I had to vent...hope everyone else is having a great day!

I got my first kenalog shot before I developed any ptc symptoms. I had no idea it could harm me, so, I continued to get them, even after I developed a lot of tightness in my head. I was told that the tightness was from allergies and tension. I truly believe the kenalog shot could have given me PTC.
I researched it recently and It can definitely cause ptc.
Also, those shots will give you a huge dent where ever they put it. I have a huge dent in my hip that showed up months and months after my last shot. It's crazy!
I would talk to your neuro, and neuro-opth about those allergy shots.

Sorry to hear you are not feelling well but just to let you know that when my original symptoms returned not long after shunt surgery it was because the shunt was plugged. Have your NS do a shunt tap and that will tell you is there is something no right.
