Im still waiting to see the neurologist again, I saw him a week ago they said they would be calling me with more appointments and I still haven't heard anything..they said don't call us we will call you..Im getting tired of waiting. Im lucky I don't have many symptoms yet, just a headache now and then and some dizziness. Some days are worse than others. Just watching what I eat and taking Lasix hoping this helps.
Always feel confident about calling your doctors office, especially about an appointment. Sometimes we patients fall through the cracks in their system and it's important to call and check in to see where things are.
Are they ordering more tests? Are those the appointments they are talking about? If so get the name of the imaging place or lab or outpatient LP and their phone numbers so you can call them for an appointment yourself, after the doctor's office has faxed them orders. Get a copy of the orders for yourself if you can to use when you call, and take with you on test day just in case.
I've had doctor's offices insist they make the appointment with the lab or imaging place themselves and they just tell me when the appointment is and I'm supposed to show up. That doesn't work at all. The doctor's office isn't looking at my calendar and can't possibly know the various times when I'm available. That plus it's faster by days if I call so I call and make my own appointments.
