I want to apologize for my absence. I havent been on here in a very long time. I feel bad for just kinda up and leaving and not saying anything or stopping in to "see" everyone.
I would feel better if I explained...
There still is everything going on with my uncle as before. We almost lost him again, we found out Hospice was over dosing him on morphine. Then he lies to everyone in our family to launder their money and pity. I moved to another town, started a new job. Life has been full thats for sure. When im not working im home trying to sleep . But i cant sleep either. idk why , im up and down all night long and am constantly overly tired like i could sleep the rest of my life away.
Everyone has troubles in their lives and hard times they all go through. Everyone deals with their hard times differently and copes and adapts. I have never had any one person stay 100% in my life. everyone has always came and went. I guess thats the thing that I have always had a hard time with. So I have adapted by detaching myself personally from others. Those who i have become the closet to always walks out. I find it easier to just detach myself from emotional ties. I am close with my mom and my boy friend and that is it. I enjoy others company but dont need it... that is how I have dealt with the trama in my life. I dont cry at funerals, I dont cry when pets die... I guess you could say im kinda cold hearted, but when you go through what I have thats how you survive.
anyways. I kinda went on rambling. The point of that soap box was that i am sorry I havent been on here in a long while. Im sorry that I havent kept myself in the loop and been here for support.

People come and go . I have had similar issues to yours. I don't always practice it but I know that the best thing to do is open yourself up as much as you can and enjoy THE DAY and the people who are important to you in the moment.

I understand difficult family, but yours takes the cake. I know what you mean about turning yourself off. My way of doing it is that I don't recognize holidays. Not any holiday. Not even my birthday or christmas.
Please know you have a family here that understands and loves you. We are one of your constants.
I don't know to cheer about you taking a mental holiday from this dreadful disease, or whether to hug you and say things will get better. Congrats on your new job, btw!!! :)
Insomnia is a symptom of IH, at least according to our symptom data base. (Oh, while you've been gone we built a member symptom data base. Look for the thread. It has a link and instructions.) I think pain also interferes with the ability to sleep. I'm on lamictal, and that's another sleep-stopper.

For those who are new I became pregnant in January and found out I lost my baby March 15, my doctor told us not to try again for at least three months and we found out EXACTLY three months later on June 15 we were pregnant again.
