OK JUST TO CLERIFY: 1 TEST HAD A VERY FAINT LINE BUT IT DISSAPERED LIKE 3 MINUTES LATER!

You need to go get a pregnancy test from your Dr. ASAP since your on diamox. If your not pregnant it could be stress that is causing your missed period. But you could be in the very early stage of pregnancy and that could be why the very faint line dissapered.

I don't know, I'm sure some other qualified members will answer soon but Diamox is evil - if it can make us as sick as it does - it stands to reason it could knock your cycle out of whack (I've had a hysterectomy)

Another thing to consider is stress, that can definately throw your cycle for a loop. I would call the neuro and let them know because if you could be pregnant you shouldn't be taking Diamox!

In the meantime - stop taking pregnancy tests! 8 tests - those things are expensive and you are stressing yourself more. Calm down and call the dr. You probably need to have a blood serum test done. Let them know you've done all the home tests and the results (especially the faint line).

I can't take diamox due to the side effects, but you have to rule our pregancy!

I used to have VERY regular periods. I swear people could have written calendars around me! But ever since I have been on the meds (2g of Diamox a day) they are wack-a-doo. I don't know if it is the stress, the dehydration, if it is just a side effect, or is Diamox is sucking some life-supporting minerals out of my system, but something is up.

I would definitely talk to your doctor about this if you are worried. I never thought to ask about it... which seems sort of dumb now that I think about it. Perhaps I, too shall be calling some medical pros on the subject!

April...I'm glad your happy for starting, I don't know if this is totally connected but I am usually very regular to the day! If you research Empty Sella...its what happens when to much CSF is around your Pituatary which controls hormones and other stuff....I think it contributes... no formal connection from my ObGyn but I don't think she knows cause she looked at me funny when I told her about the IIH anyways so I'm hopeing when I get my pressure under control I can go back to normal.
