Hello everyone. My husband who just turned 42 had the PSA blood test. Yesterday the doctor called him with the results. She said it was high, she said it was 4.5 and that he needs to see a urologist. I'm nervous. How high is this? Is this normal? Should I be worried? What can he expect at his urologist appointment? Thanks in advanced.
My urologist said that anything over 3 or so is abnormal
but the really dangerous values are over 10. They may want him to get an MRI though. That's what they did when my psa was about 4. I'm higher than that now unfortunately.
