suggestions on surgeons!!

After a year and a half on cabergoline, with awful side effects, no return of a period, and my original tumor growing in size, as well as a new tumor forming on the opposite side of my pituitary, we have decided surgery is now needed. I am 25 years old, and I take 8 pills a day. I cant live a life of a normal 25 year old single girl. I am ready for these tumors to be removed and not have to live my life of going to the doctor every three months with MRIs every three months. Im just not doing it anymore.

I was wondering if anyone has had the surgery before, and if so, do they recommend their surgeon??
I live in Jackson, MS and there is a surgeon who does the surgery, but not nearly enough to feel comfortable with it.

Any help would be appreciated :)

Dr. Michael studied in England in Head and Neck Surgery...and he did a friend of mine's Prolactinoma removal and did wonderfully.

If you're able to travel, I highly recommend Dr. Kunwar at UCSF. He did my surgery 3 years ago, and it went great.

I have not had surgery nor do I require it yet. I am only about 6 weeks into my initial treatment of cabergoline for a tumor that is either secreting prolactin or is a non functioning tumor compressing the stalk of the pituitary. If it is the latter, surgery will probably be the outcome. I have, however, done a lot of different research aka Googling about anything pituitary. I decided to go to Swedish Pituitary Center in Seattle, WA. I know that is a distance from you but I just thought I would throw it out as a suggestion as they have a very good reputation. But other than that I would look at an actual Pituitary Center and a surgeon who specializes in pituitary tumor surgery.
