No matter how this condition affects you, remember that there is nothing to be ashamed of. And the same way you want someone to be patient and accepting of you, is how you must be with the other person in your relationship as they go on this journey with you. You will experience all of the ups and downs together. I was very scared to tell my boyfriend about my condition, I felt so ashamed and couldn't help but cry as I revealed my most private secret. He was surprised, but assured me I had nothing to be ashamed of. He reminded me that none of us humans are perfect, and appreciated that fact that I trusted him enough to share. In fact, it strengthened our bond, and he shared some things with me about his own problems I wouldn't have known about otherwise. Keep your head up and focus on self-love. Take care of yourself & best wishes. :)
