I changed medication to Bromocriptine and it seems to have solved a lot of problems. The Cabergoline was horrible, for me. For others, it's a life saver.

Hello Crystal...and comparing who i use to be, alot has changed since the prolactinoma, now it seems even the littlest of things can bring me down. Don't feel alone there Crystal, i'm sure after some time it'll all settle down. It's been nearly four months on the meds, and i'm still finding it hard to get use to. I think changing little habits, like I'm a massive coffee drinker, but on a stressy day I'll have some organic green tea. I think it's important to have some 'me' time where you can just relax and have some peace of mind, even if it's watching some bad day time tv. I think the simple things like that keep me going, and remind me I'm lucky my situation isn't worse etc (as it always can be). I'm really sorry to hear your battling depression as well as this, it must take it's tole on you mentally, but just remember even if it's on this web forum, theres a massive group of people who can relate and understand (when some people close to us in real life can't) xx

Man... I am pretty much in the same boat. If I'm not feeling like an well oiled machine mentally, my mind just goes off track and anxiety just creeps on me. Every since my first bout of symptoms at the age of 17, I felt over sensitive. Whether watching a movie, dealing with people (relationships), I just seem to have some weird attachment to every situation. Literally I can tear up just thinking about the simplest accomplishments I want to achieve in my life, to the point avoiding conversations sometimes.

For years I talked to my doctor about severe fatigue, anger issues, stress, and low libido. Always treated as depression. Last month I finally got a doctor to write a lab order for testerone and it was 50! My Doc was happy to finally find the cause of all of my problems and put me on HRT with the patch. After a month of that, checked my testosterone and it hhad dropped to 13. Sent to the lab again and results this time showed a Pituitary problem and diagnosed as Hypopituitarism. MRI done yesterday and about 2 hours ago I found out thhat there were no tumors. Going for more labs on a bunch of other things but now I'm told I have prolactinoma. No meds yet but everything people are describing here as symptoms or med side effects I have. The worst is the inability to cope with stress many times. Feels like the world is crashing down even with simple issues. Can't concentrate. Always exhausted. I appreciate the insight here. It is helping alot.

I thought it was just me. I thought I was being a cry baby or not strong enough. I am very short tempered, panic attacks, crying all the time. I shut down. I deal with things by watching TV and shutting the world out.

I haven't been around for a while, I've been taking Cabergoline for 3 years now, I can relate to all the syptoms mentioned here. I have just last week had a MRI scan, Im just hoping my 3cm tumour has reduced and I can cut down on the medication. Mine is growing into my sinus causing lots of problems. When first diagonosed my prolactin level was 35,000, it is now down to 1,300, But my syptoms are just as bad, its getting others (friends and family) to understand how we feel, the tiredness and sensitivity. I know we should be gratefull it is a treatable illness, but it can be pretty miserable at times.

I feel the same way. I have heard that natural progesterone can cure this. I dont know , though.
