Ive had high prolactin levels before then a blood test showed that it was normal. This was about a year ago and Im still getting breast milk. I can squeeze some out. Its not a lot but Im wondering now if it will stop. Also I have persistant gastritis and Im wondering if my hormones are affecting that. I get depression and anxiety and Im on Mirtazipine tablets for it. Does anyone else get any of these symptoms? Im wondering if they are linked. What symptoms do you get with it? Does it just settle down or has anyone had tablets? I was offered tablets but they can inflame the stomach so I didn,t take them,as its bad enough. Im a middle aged woman but I haven,t had the menopause yet. Thanks

Yes, I had high levels and got breast milk, then after my levels went down the breast milk remained and took some time to dry up. However, it did eventually go away.

All that I know is my hormones go up and down along with my moods. It's a rollercoaster, but once I figured that out I understood that both emotions, hormones, and anger can all fly up and down and I am learning to simply take the journey.

Thanks Im hopeful now that the breast milk will go. How about the menopuse,how does that affect it I wonder? I haven,t gone through it yet. Have you? Also Im wondering if the high prolactin can come back,I supose that affects people with the prolactinoma. I don,t think I have that. My sister does though. She doesn,t really get affected too much with breast milk,well she doesn,t tell me. She did have a MRI scan for it and just goes back every so often for it.
