Hello all. I'm new here, but not new to the grand old prolactinoma experience unfortunately. Do any of you who take Cabergoline ever get sharp, almost "electric zap sensations in your chest???
I do and it freaks me out because it feels like it's literally in my heart. It's always super quick and only lasts a couple seconds.
I asked my endo about it and he didn't seem overly concerned. He gave my heart and chest an extra listen and said everything sounded great. I do have Mitral Valve Prolapse which is very common, but it usually only causes my heart to beat "weird" sometimes and feel fluttery.
Could these "electric zaps" be related to the Cabergoline? I could certainly use some reassurance. Thanks all.

I have a macroprolactinoma (2cmx2cmx2cm) and currently take cabergoline .5mg 3x a week. I know exactly what you are talking about, as I have experienced it myself.
I've had pretty much every test on my heart you can have done and they couldn't find anything wrong. I don't think it is anything to worry about, but I know how frightening and weird it can feel.
