Coming up on my yearly MRI, I have a gut feeling there will be no tumor shrinkage. So here's the skinny. One endo feels surgery may be the next route, while another feels is not worth the risk.

Life is so wish-washy I'm thinking about having them pluck this bad-boy out and see what happens.

I've wrestled with that same issue many times over.

As long as I have otherwise normal pituitary function, I'm going to keep letting my medication work. My tumor is now diffuse and inoperable, so I really have no other choice at the moment.

If they can get it all, and not damage the gland, then go for it.

Oh Ya, this whole "prolactinoma business" is one big grey area!! At least there's a lot of surgery success stories here on the site. It won't hurt to get evaluated and hear what the neurosurgeon has to say.

Bugsy, I say go for it. In full disclosure, my surgery was in November and I still don't really feel better - still intense social anxiety and depression (that I'm trying to treat with bupropion and mirtazapine currently). But anything that helps push us to a more normal state I think is good, and I'm sure it's different for everybody. I have confidence that whatever you choose will be the right decision.
I'm buying an exercise bike today. I walk a lot, but the anxiety/densely populated area I live in prevents me from doing the high intensity stuff I feel I need. I hope this will further help me balance out my hpta axis and my brain chemistry, to get me to a better place. I will keep you updated my man. Keep your chin up! Keep trying!

My daughter's surgery was 1 year ago April 9th. So glad we agreed to have the surgery! She is SOOOOOOOOOO much better!!! Granted there was a time right after surgery that we were sure we had mad ethe wrong decision, but now, we thank God everyday that she is well! And not living on medication.
