i posted a journal entry (the latest one) on my addiction with xanax. if anyone could please read it and maybe give me some advice or anything really, id appreciate it so much.

Hello. First of all, I want to congratulate you on admitting your addiction--that is a HUGE step.

At this point, I really can't offer that much advice as I have never been an addict. But, a close friend of mine is currently going through xanax addiction so I know what you are going through. She's the same age as you are. Last night, she was arrested for DUI (first offense) but they did not find the xanax (and I suspect a few other things) in her purse!!! I actually wish they did get her on posession, because then they would force her into treatment.

If you would like, I will invite you as a friend. As my friend battles her addiction, I will undoubtedly be learning more about the problems associated with xanax. I would be happy to try to give you and advice and support that I can.

One thing I do know, though: Xanax addiction is very serious. And, from what I've heard, withdrawals from it can be dangerous if not handled properly. DO NOT TRY TO QUIT THIS ON YOUR OWN. You will need professional help to get (and stay) clean. Promise me you will seek the assistance you need.

You are not alone. I can tell you some shit you wouldn't believe!! I too, am an addict to the devils dandruf XANAX!! Those little football shaped bitches will ruin your life if you don't get help, it's only been 1 month for me. I was on xanax for 8 years. I lost my mind on those things. But I got it back!! My memory is shot, but I will make a new one. You CAN get clean, it takes time with these, you'll need to be weined off of them, cold turkey can kill you. Any Dr will tell you. 1st you need to come clean and tell a Dr so they can help you. You can't do it alone!! It is dangerous. Recovery is possible, but in no way easy. But you will feel better and be happy again all on your own.
