what to do?

I am addicted to prescripton medicines. i have 8 scripts. i love the feeling i get when i take them. i had a bad carwreck and thats were the taking of pills started. will i always crave pills? i hate being like this. any suggestions?

It was much better for me....getting high on life then on drugs but it took me 3 years of addiction culminating in 3 days in the hospital before I realized, the ride was over. If I wanted to live into old age, then I had better do something, so I went to the hospital and had an appointment with a counselor in the drug and alcohol abuse department for an assessment.

They put me in an IOP (Intensive Outpatient Treatment) for 3 weeks followed by 3 months or counseling. Through all the counseling I had, regular attendance at AA meetings were a requirement. It changed my life completely!

That was 12 years ago. Today I have a successful business and I have never been happier. Good things happen when we live a balanced life and stop idolizing drugs and alcohol.

I agree with the poster about idolizing drugs.The solution is within oneself. I think we are capable of doing anything we want to do and can overcome anything if we are willing to put the effort and ask for help. You can turn it around!

    check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

     I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...
