Take it one day, one second , one craving at a time. How much have you been using? And for how long?
I think the way you are going about detoxing is perhaps the best method -- although not the most comfortable. Please be aware of some of the dangers of detoxing cold turkey and just know when it's time to go to the ER to get some meds for help.. like Narcan or an opiate blocker to help you.
I HIGHLY HIGHLY, suggest maintaing contact with someone on a perosnal level who has gone through the experience, like a sponsor who you can talk to .. about your struggles and cravings, or replapses. Its much different the strong support of family and friends , which is also needed too.
NA is a great place to start, as is the support of people online like us.

You will LOVE yourself for sticking it out.. and getting through the crap. The worst if over!!

And thats great. Sometimes you do have to find a happy medium, if you have legitimate pain issues. When you can't take pain meds, you have to find alternatives.. like tylenol or ibeprofen.. sometimes they also prescibe anti-depressants and other meds to help with serious crhonic pain, that are alternatives to narcoitcs..
