Hello, I am new to this group and was wondering if this is still an active group. I was born premature, but I don't know by how much. I have a lot of classic symptoms of being born premature. I have a hard time developing relationships, and I have a hard time with work. I am an introvert, and show signs of ocd, anxiety and depression and maybe some neurotic features that are sometimes associated with being born premature. I know part of this is genetic as I have MTHFR genetic mutation which is linked to depression, anxiety and maybe ocd. I know I am talking a lot about my problems but more so, want to find a solution to these problems. Is there any supplements that help the brain besides Omega 3"s, and maybe Omega 6"s and I think coconut oil with medium chain tryglycerides can help. I really want to get past my relationship issues, and my introvertedness, and hopefully I can develop a lasting career. I really want to be a clinical nutritionist and maybe I can help other premature born adults with symptoms of prematurity.

Thanks for sharing your story, to answer your question, those born premature are at greater risk of having mental health issues like Anxiety and depression. - i too suffer from these, and attribute them to my premature birth.
I have also spoken to many other adults born premature that say the same thing, so i decided to set up a facebook group, and website www.adultpreemies.com to try and connect us all and share our experiences.
As for the medication, i am unaware if there is anything specific for those born premature, but i have been on a few different ones with varying success.
I know this post is a few years old, so i hope that you have been able to follow your dreams and helping other adult preemies like yourself.
