I need things like smart black trousers and light tops ie cotton etc as I get very hot at work but also bearing in mind I work at a hospital.

Any advice on where I can go to get these in UK?

I am currently wearing my normal black trousers with a belt just about holding them up LOL

I'm in the U.S. I was wondering if in the UK you guys have the "bella band", or things like them? They are great! They are elastic bands that allow you to wear your normal pants without having to button or even zip them! They just look like you are wearing a layered tank top under your shirt.

As far as shirts go, I've found that all the normal styles that are "in" right now seem maternity friendly--flowy, loose. I just buy them a size bigger and make sure they are long enough to grow with me.

i buy all my materity clothes from asos.com and mothercare. have smart black trousers as i work in a school from mothercare really comfy. got loads of long vest type t shirts from asos in maternity sale for 4 think they have blak trousers on there too x
