Welcome to the waiting room for anticipating moms and dads. Whether you're expecting your first or a new little brother or sister, meet other parents in this community who are also looking forward to a new addition to the family.
My OBGYN had once told me that it takes your body 18 months to recover after pregnancy/giving birth. Does your baby's father feel ready too? Maybe you should discuss these feelings with your doctor for advice on how your body would handle another pregnancy so soon.
I am the mother to a handsome 6 year old boy, 19 month old twins and I am currently 8 months pregnant with child #4. Taking care of a little one is really hard while pregnant. Although we are happy to welcome another little one to the family, he was not planned and I still have days where I get a little depressed thinking about how much work it is going to be.
My advice would be to wait at least a few months to let motherhood finally sink in. Give yourself time to enjoy this baby that you have. My oldest is 5 years older than the twins and it was wonderful because it was just the three of us for that time and I was able to fully enjoy each stage he went through. It is hard to have that important bonding time once another one comes along. This is just my opinion, only you and your significant other should be making this decision.
Good luck and congrats on the new baby!
