OK so just last night I had this weird sharp pain at the very lower left side ab that made me have to sit down. I have it again on and off this morning but it's not as bad it's milder but it still feels weird. Almost like pulled muscle feelig ya know.

It's low like near my pelvic bone on the left side. Do I have any thing to be concerned about. I've had mild cramping on and off, and the stretching pulling sensation which I know is ligament stretching to support the uterus. But the sharp pain concerned me even though it's not near my tubes or uterus.

Please let me know what you ladies think. Thank you! I'm only 5 wks 1 day today!

I had that pain but just a few weeks ago and I'm 24 weeks...I dont; recall any pains so early on and the ligament pain doesn't usually happen till later either. I wouldn't worry unless U have cramping or bleeding though.

That sounds exactly like the ligament pain I had with ALL my pregnancies and for me, it starts early. In fact with my current twin pregnancy I had that pain 4 days BEFORE my period was due...it was my cluue I was pregnant! I get it throughout my pregnancies when growth spurts happen too. So early on, then around 12 weeks or so, then again around 20 etc...and each time my belly would pop a bit more. With this pregnancy its been VERY painful.. I think you are okay for now but try standing up slower, and don't suck in your gut...that helps me. :-)

I agree, it's probaly ligament pain even if you don't think that's where your ligaments are. Remember, with your growing uterus everything is moving around a lot. I was concerned because when I coughed or sneezed I had sharp pains to the left and right and a little bit up of my pelvic bone and my doctor said it's because my uterus is growing and the coughing/sneezing is putting more pressure on the ligaments, so he was actually glad to hear it because it means I'm progressing like I should. If it continues and really worries you, call your doc. Hope this helped =)

I'm with the Round Ligament Pain votes. I hate them. Hate, hate, hate them! There's very little that can send me into a panic more than that pain. Comes in a split second and is gone just as fast. Since there are ligaments holding the uterus in place all around, it can manifest itself in any place in the general vicinity - so don't be particularly concerned about the location.

With my first pregnancy, I had them in the 1st trimester. This current pregnancy...I'm having them a little later.

That's normal had that with my first two pregnancies and the one I an going through now. It started in the first trimestef for all three. Its you ligaments. It happens at different times for all women and all pregnancies. Its mean your your body is making room you your little prince/princess. If your worried call your doctor but it probably normal.
Congrats on the pregnancy you and your husband are bound to make a beautiful baby!
