I'm so sorry for your struggle - it took my husband and I 13 months to conceive our first and we did end up losing it. Just because it takes a while longer for you doesn't mean you won't ever have any, just means it might take a bit more work. Have you gone to see a doctor about it? There are some minor tests that can be run or you can start tracking your ovulation at home and that might give you alot of answers in your quest for a child.

Don't look at your family and compare yourself to them--you'll just make yourself crazy. My sister got pregnant on the pill, and my mom used to joke that you could say the word "pregnant" and it would happen. It took us two years and a loss to get pregnant with our oldest daughter, and 15 months to get pregnant with our second. Both times, we saw an infertility specialist and were diagnosed with "unexplained infertility," since they couldn't find anything wrong with either of us. It was beyond frustrating, but we did eventually get pregnant and have two beautiful girls. I'm currently pregnant with our third child, and it happened almost instantly, which I think I'm still in shock about, even though I'm about 15 weeks now. Anyway, the point is that it's really easy to get caught up in worrying that it will never happen for you, and it's easy to get obsessed with "trying," but what helped me was to tell myself, "in 10 years from now, all of this will be resolved, and I'll be able to see what the bigger picture was for our lives." It doesn't take away the hurt every time somebody announces they're pregnant and weren't even trying, but it's important to take a deep breath every now and then and just try to enjoy the rest of your life as it's happening around you.

DO NOT GIVE UP! That's the most important thing ever! Even if a dr tells you you can't! My boyfriend was never suppose to be able to have kids. It took 4 years of trying. We had really given up but still slept together any way and we are FINALLY pregnant. I know its hard, but please keep hope.
