i can't say i've been there...but my best friend has.

her baby doesn't move very often, but the ultrasounds always bring relief. don't worry too much...some move around A LOT...and some like to relax. =)

i cant really say how much you should or shouldnt feel your baby move as this is my 1st but i feel her everyday from the 1st kick. If your worried about it i would say to contact ur midwife or the hospital (thats what their there for) just to put ur mind at rest worrying about things like this is not good for you or the baby

I also felt this way at around that time in my pregnancy. I called my dr and she said you shouldn't really feel your baby constantly until between 24-26 weeks. She was right at about 25 weeks I started feeling my little girl everyday. The dr says that our babies have there lazy days just like we do. And if you are active it is hard to feel them move. I would still call your dr and see how they feel about this. Good Luck:)

Its the same for everyone. At first you only feel movement when baby happens to be facoing outwards. If hes kicking inward and not touching the sides you wont feel anything. No worries.

Im 30 weeks but I started to feel her move around 20 and when I wouldnt feel her move for about a day, I would eat something sweet, that always gets her moving! Good luck!

mine was the same way in the beginning, about the time you aer now. id say call the dr and ask when you should start feeling consistant mvement. i know teh books all say drink a soda or orange juice if you are worried about it bec that will make the baby move.

Its normal that early on not to feel your baby move everyday. It will pick up more once you get further along.
My daughter would move not stop for 3 days then I wouldn't feel her for a day or two. After she was born and we got settle in, she would be up for 3 days and then sleep almost all day after that. she did what she did in my tummy. it was pretty neat, but of course that didn't last long, she just stayed up.
Maybe this is a good sign your little one will be a sleepy head.
take care and don't worry. Talk to your doctor about a heart doppler, I didn't have one but you can buy them at babies r us. just make sure they are safe to use when ever you feel the need to hear your baby. I am thinking on getting on this time around,

I didnt really feel James consistently till 22 weeks or so. Now the little guys wont quit moving. I was also told the futhur along you get the less they move which I have found to be not true, I am 35 weeks and he shows no signs of slowing down. I would not worry to much (easier siad than done I know) Eventually you can figure out what foods or what drinks and what positions you can lay in that make him move and that helps :) Best of luck!!!

I am 28 weeks pregnant and I didn't feel my little girl kick until at least the 20 something weeks. I understand the whole reasuring thing, and feeling that little kick or punch. You know they are in your tummy but it's great when you feel it! Even now some days she moves more than others.

with my first son I felt him alllllll the time so it makes me nervous sometimes when I don't feel this baby as much. I do sometimes go a day without feeling him but then the next day or so he'll kick up a storm... I'm 27 weeks this week and I still get that all the time and my baby is perfectly healthy so ... *shrugs* try not to worry too much about it especially since you kinda just started to feel the movements.
