I’m new to this and don’t really have anyone to talk to... I’ve been dealing with a lot lately and I just feel really alone. I’m 16 weeks pregnant and found out I’m having a sweet baby girl. It’s supposed to be one of the most exciting times of my life and it’s been the worst... the main I’ve been in love with who I thought I was spending the rest of my life with has been acting like a completely different person since we found out.. all he kept talking about is how bad he wanted a baby and couldn’t wait until we started a family and now that we have, he is never here anymore. He’s constantly out drinking with his friends. He claims to be going to the gym at 1 in the afternoon then doesn’t come home until after 3 or 4 in the morning or he’s “working” and it turns into a 2 hour job to him being gone for 12+ hours.. We used to go on trips together all the time and now he doesn’t even ask me or invite me and makes all these plans with “his guy friends.” We don’t even have conversations anymore. I try to go to dinner with him and he sits on his stupid phone and texts “the guys” or scrolls through Facebook the whole time. I even took him to a movie and he didn’t even know what was going on because he wouldn’t get off his phone the whole time.. I quit my job, left all of my old friends, even moved away from my hometown and my mom for this guy and now I’m scared. I’m terrified. Our house is in his name. We have a joint bank account that he literally never leaves money in. And I’m scared but I’m so tired of pretending that everything’s okay and that I’m happy... because I’m not.. I’m scared and lonely and I don’t know what to do. I just can’t sit here alone anymore... if anyone has any advice or even some kind words I could really use some help right now.. I’m just really scared and lost and I don’t know what to do and I only want the best for my baby girl..

Have no words to help you in that particular situation, unless you have family that's willing to give you support that you need or move back with someone you trust? All I can say is be strong! And pray if you're a praying girl. Best of luck. God bless

I’m in a crazy situation right now. I just found out I’m pregnant 5 weeks today. But the dilemma is I slept with my bf on the 3rd(a week and a half after the death of his mother) and an ex on the 8th. And I don’t know who is the father. I’m scared of telling my bf the truth in fear of us being completely done. I want this baby but I don’t know what to do. Lose everything by telling him the truth or trying to spend $1600 for a dna on my ex to see if he’s a match.

Reach out to your family if you have loved ones who can/want to help you. You don't want to be totally dependent on him. If you don't have family.... get employment if you can and look into programs that can help you without his help if that is what is happening. Wishing you the best of luck.

Confront him. It sounds like he's having some sort of prolonged anxiety attack. My fiance went through the same thing. He came out the other side as a wonderful father, but that doesn't mean he didn't hurt me in the process. If you can't confront him, go with him. He's going to the gym? Great! Plop your happy rear end on an elliptical or a treadmill while he does his thing. Designate a no phones dinner at home so you can talk about whatever you need to talk about without stressing him out more. Leave the phones in another room so he's not tempted to look. You are the mother of his child. You are not powerless, and you are allowed to make basic demands for communication within your marriage. Is it money that he's freaking out over? A perceived loss of freedom? The inevitable march of time? How is his relationship with his father? If it's not good he may be afraid of failing or hurting his child the same way.

If that doesn't work, call his mother, or sister or anyone else who can knock some sense into that caveman skull of his. The way you describe him before truly makes me believe he's acting this way because he's freaking the hell out, not because he wants to. Anxiety is cruel, and speaking from personal experience the only way out of it is through it with a lot of talking.

I think some of it’s anxiety too. I have bad anxiety and here lately it’s just been worse because of everything going on. I try to talk to him about how serious anxiety is and he argues with me that it’s not real and it’s made up in people’s heads. I think he’s just freaking out too and doesn’t know how to handle it but it’s definetly hurting me..
