I had an issue with my dating causing a mess in my testing results. Baby is healthy but now I'm afraid due to me being so anxious I told my doctor I was considering switching. I know hormones get out in the way but I am 20weeks this week and I don't think it will be easy to switch doctors. I'm scared my doctor will terminate my treatment and I also won't then have any care at all. I am afraid of this doctor, I know mistakes happen but I am so traumatized. Anxiety is not good for the baby. I am scared I won't have any medical help at all if I leave this doctor and the others won't accept me.

someone please help me not stress

I MOVED at 20ish weeks (22 I think...) and had to switch.

Got a referral- was picked right up- easy peasy- I was pregnant. No one wants a pregnant person to be without care.

Whether you want/ need to switch is up to you. But finding someone to take you? Highly unlikely to be a problem.

Thank you so much for the reply.❤️ Do you remember if When you transferred did they also have to check the records from the previous doctor? I understand why they have to check it but it’s just such a scary process for me.

I remember having to sign a release to have my records sent for each step of my pregnancy. (My child was conceived via iui- there were a few transfers of care)

I don't work in the medical field but have worked in mental health. We want to review a what's be done and have a patient history. If this concerns you you could of course discuss it with the new doctor/ their staff ie- I know my chart says this but I disagree/ they found out x. Nothing wrong at all with advocating for yourself and your child.

That’s understandable, so long story short was that some test results were incorrect due to to my due date being mistaken. So I’m just so fearful that the rust ulta won’t be corrected on the paperwork. I did obtain a copy of those results with the comments. I’ll keep you updated on the process im calling a few more offices today in hopes I can transfer. I’m just very passive and have a fear up upsetting people

I understand. I'm similar- except when it comes to my kiddo then I forget how to be passive. I hope all comes together- just be very to the point that there's incorrect information that may come through and you want to make absolutely sure it's corrected if it does. Then double check on that in your 1st appointment with the new doctor. Hope all comes together for you both!
