i just wanted to say that i am not experiencing that while pregnant but have in the past...Have you just asked your doctor so you feel better?!

i take it ONLY for flying and my doctor said NO!!!! hope you feel better soon.

I had a friend who took xanax while pregnant,
she had been on it for a looonng time and her doctor didn't
want to take her off of it incase of with drawl.. He also kept
her on her lexapro. But she was advised to ONLY take the
xanax when she absolutely needed them.

My doc gave me some of the weakest ones when I had a brief period of anxiety during my second pregnancy. I was around 5 months or so. No harm done to the baby, but it's probably best not to take them, they are narcs.

FDA pregnancy category D. Xanax can cause birth defects in an unborn baby. Do not use this medication without your doctor's consent if you are pregnant. Tell your doctor if you become pregnant during treatment. Use an effective form of birth control while you are using this medication. Xanax can pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing baby. Do not use this medication without telling your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.

Class D means that at all costs not to use this medication as it is a proven harmful drug to unborn children. While its not a class X which means absolutely not to use it class D is just one step above that.

I to suffer from extream anxiety. I use Busbar on a regular schedule to help prevent attacks as its a class A which means its completely proven safe. I had to give up Xanax when I got pregnant which has proved hard but I think if I thought I was putting something in my mouth that was proven to harm my baby I would be worse off after taking the med then I was to need it.

In the end only the doc and you can decide if the benifit out weighs the risk but having the info on the meds is golden

for anxiety I take inositol and phospotydal choline they are both B vitamins. they work much better than xanax ever did for me.
