My doctor says women with PCOS get pregnant all the time. I ended up having to go through IVF, but now am pregnant with twins and I've had PCOS for years!

From what I understand if they can find a drug that will force your ovulation then you should be able to get preg. Sometimes they have to try a few different meds because not everyone responds to the first one, but they should try you on one and then ultrasound your ovaries to see if you responded. If you don't then try a higher dose or another med and go from there. It's not a death sentence for fertility by any means.

If you go to the INFERTILITY board they have a subset for PCOS. And alot of ladies with PCOS will use the IF board. And unfortunately the name INFERTILITY is kind of misleading - all the women on there are actively trying, you should get alot of support and answers. Good luck.

Yes, so many women get pregnant with PCOS without any fertility medications too. Irregular cycles can make it tricky to know when to bd so I think ovulation predictor is the first step. Also working with a doc to get everything "optimized". :)

Yes! I have PCOS and from day 1 my RE said if he could get me to ovulate I would get pregnant. I have been pregnant 3 times (currently 9 weeks), no living children unfortunately. Femara is the magic pill that makes me ovulate.

My sister has PCOS- ovulation is tricky due to irregular cycles. However, she was able to get pregnant on her own twice. She's now going through fertility treatments to help since she's had no luck in 2 years.

I've had pcos since my teen years. We used meds to conceive our first. The second and third kiddos happened within weeks of quitting birth control, as in the first month of ttc. It can happen.

Had it since I was thirteen and I'm currently pregnant. I was even on birth control; missed one little pill! (: it's very possible without too many drugs.
