i feel horrible, i am 37 weeks pregnant and i still dont feel connected to my baby. with my first i was so involved and i dont know how to explain it but almost euphoric feeling. this time around though its like i have a "whatever" atttitude about it. im really feeling guilty about it but i just cant seem to force myself to get excited about it.

i was the same way and it took me a few weeks after each of my boys was born to feel that emotional mommy bond. I know that sounds terrible, but i'm being honest. it could be your hormones... each pregnancy is different. i wouldn't stress.

Hey I am new here....but thought I would post. I just started telling others about being pregnantand apparently I am not showing the proper amount of maternal enthusiam and/or connection. It leaves me feeling guilty one minute....then pissed off the next minute. The fact is that I am 38 yrs old...this was NOT planned and I am still in a state of shock.

Not showing the appropriate amount of enthusiasm? I CRIED fror weeks after I found out about being prego again! There's nothing wrong with not being excited in the beginning... i certainly was anything BUT excited... Screw what others think. Its not their body or thier hormones...

I am 17 weeks pregnant and most days, I am not connected to my child. I have some days where, I just sit rubbing my stomach letting my little one know that I will always be there for him/her. People have told me that I should feel this emotional connection with this pregnancy but after having two miscarriages I can't seem to believe that I am as far along as I am. I still worry about the potential of losing this baby. Honestly, it may not seem real to me until I hear the first screams. Everyone is different. Every pregnancy is different. Have you talked to your OB about this?
