I've been ttc for 4.5 years. After my last treatment cycle was a disaster we decided to stop and focus on adoption. And of course now I'm pregnant and scared...with questions.
So, my last period was in November...my RE said that I would have no eggs, the meds didn't work. I have not had a period since. I took a hpt in early Feb with a BFN. Decided to take another one on 3/27 with a BFP....all 5 were BFP. Then on Monday I went in for my beta blood work. My hcg was 77,937, and my doctor thinks I'm 5-6 weeks. I have no clue how far I would be...nothing to chart since November! I'm having an ultrasound on Friday.
Here are my questions-- my hcg level seems pretty high--is that a good sign? Should I expect to see a heart beat at my u/s? I feel like I have a head cold--my face is warm (but I don't have a fever), my sinuses are all dried out and painful...but I'm still blowing my nose...is that all normal?

High hCG levels may indicate a miscalculated date of conception, a molar pregnancy, or a multiple pregnancy
I've never heard of a molar pregnancy...so I looked it up. I guess that's something else to worry about :-/ I was leaning towards the maybe I'm farther along piece or possible twins.
The only thing the doctor was basing it on is the hcg level-- I see him for the first time next week. And I'm really not sure what to base how far along I am on...I had the neg test in early Feb so I could be up to 8 weeks along I guess.

By the way, my sinuses have been KILLER for most of this pregnancy. All your mucous membranes are more irritable during this time.
