I hadn't even thought of checking on that one! I absolutely LOVE the neti pot and found it was amazing for my allergies. What do you put in your water? If it's just plain water or plain + salts I can't imagine any risk at all. Some people add essential oils but I've read conflicting reviews on the safety of that so haven't done it. I did use a SMALL amt of apple cider vinegar once when I had some crazy congestion. It was super uncomfortable! I found I was better off drinking it with some honey :-) Okay - long post. In short - I consider a saline neti rinse a great alternative to meds, PG or not! You could always check w/ your doc if you're concerned about it though. Good luck!

I got really sick two times during my pregnancy and had to use all natural remedies. My neti pot was a champ. Still use everyday now, and haven't been sick since. Love it!

I've never asked the doc about it, but I've used mine while preggers. I guess I just never thought about asking. It seems like it would be fine to use since it's just a saline solution.

Totally safe (but only use the salt mixture or plain water in it and nothing else). I never took on med for my congestion all this time and the netipot saved my life!
Don't lay down for 30-60 min after using it...as it is unsafe due to the water possibly backflowing.
Oh - and Turbogirl, I read you are not supposed to use things like vinegar in it, so be careful!

I have always used one before pregnancy and tried using it in the beginning of my pregnancy when I still had morning sickness and I threw up the entire morning from it triggering my gag reflex. So you may want to watch out for that if you are still having some nausea, but otherwise go for it. It is really helpful.
