We are so stuck on a middle name for our baby girl. We picked the name Claire, but we are having such a hard time thinking of a middle name that goes with it. My husband likes Elizabeth and Isabella, but I find that almost all of the Claire's out there have one of these 2 middle names. Also, we don't really want to use any family names, we don't want to upset anyone. Any suggestions?

Have you thought of shortening Elizabeth to Beth? Or shortening Isabella to Bella?

Hmmm... that is a tough one. What kind of names do you like? I love the name claire. For me, a name just has to hit right. It doesn't matter whether it's traditional or not. Here are some ideas for you
Claire Eden
Claire Abigail / Claire Abby
Claire Evelyn / Claire Eva or Evie
Claire Allison / Claire Allie

I agree with ardua. Marie. It means "wished for child". That's one of my daughter's middle names. :) I also like Victoria.

I think that middle names should mean something, in the family. My sons middle name is after my husbands grandpa, if we were going ot have a girl, the middle name would have been after my mom elaine, she passed away when I was 18. Now we are having a boy again, so I gotta think of something
I like that because it keeps family going, ya know? Maybe use your grandmas name or your husbands?

I have a good friend with a daughter names Claire and her middle name is Louise...I think it's after her husband's grandmother.
