ps. the baby looked fine on my first ultrasound and is the right size so the eating for two thing is a myth.
I to have a very poor appitite. Thing isbaby is going to take from you ANYTHING it needs and you wll suffer long befor bab does. I know knowing this made me feel SOOOO much better on the days I didnt eat much.
I did have a problem where I went into a diabetic keatosis from a lack of food though. Baby was doing just fine while I was in much suffering. I how ever had a serious infection on the roof of my mouth that made it near impossible for me to eat. The point is that if you dnt eat at all for long enough you will end up really really sick. I was sick enough to wind up in the ICU on an insalin drip for a full day and in the hospital for a week total. SO make sure if you dont have an appitite but you can eat that you do at least a few bites here and there. Try smoothies. You can get protien powder to add to them to bulk them up a little.
But in the end baby wil take what it needs and a day here and there of a poor appitite will not harm the baby. Just do your best and try to get as many calories as you can and it will be ok
I actually had this problem also. Until about 7 weeks I wasn't really nauseated, I just didn't want to eat anything. I didn't think much of it until after I found out I was preggo. Then, even when I didn't want to eat, I made sure to have at least a small snack- just to keep my energy up.
There's a good chance this will be replaced by morning sickness in a few weeks, but once you reach the 2nd trimester you will be amazed at your appetite!! I now eat 6-7 times a day (and not just snacks, small meals!)
