It was pretty invasive but I was too excited to care. I saw the heart beat, I saw 'her' head and limbs. 'She' is quite an active baby. I'm a little confused though cos the doc said conception occurred around the 15th but in the report I saw where she has the CRL measurement and next to that 9 wks, 2 dys and in the conclusion she has 'single live intrauterine gestation at 7 wks 1 dy, EDD 1/11/15. I did not get to ask her to break it down for me cos she was in with another patient when I read the report. Can someone here explain it to me?

Truthfully, that stuff is just as confusing for me! I'd go with the second measurement, I'm not fully sure how it's calculated, so it's a good question to bring up at your next appointment.

I know for me, my due date changed twice. The last measurement at 20 weeks "should" be official, but we shall see as time passes. :)

The second one goes better with the date she said conception had occurred so I think I'll roll with that. I hope my EDD doesn't change much cos I kinda would like to have a Halloween baby. It's one of my favorite holidays.

That would be nice! I love halloween too. My baby is going to be a summer baby, he's due July 18th, his daddy's birthday is the 26th and his grandma's the 12th...so he's going to be a birthday present to them both.

Have you started thinking of names?

Ages ago. Aislin (pronounced Ash-lyn) because of my Irish ancestry and I keep dreaming about the same baby- the name means vision. And if I have a boy Asher cos I like how it sounds and it means blessed in Hebrew. I'm hoping my boyfriend doesn't put up too much of a fight about the names. Lol. How about you?

I'm expecting a boy, we are going to name him Theodore, Theo for short. His grandma wants to call him Teddy, so he will have several nicknames.

I love both of those names, very cute!

Thanks. Gran's give the best nicknames cos in their eyes you're always still a kid. He'll never outgrow the name Teddy for her. Lol.
