this is my first pregnancy, and I also have Fibromyalgia. It's been really frustrating for me so far to be honest. I'm only about 7 weeks along, and I'm already so tired of feeling this way. Please don't be mistaken, I'm happy to have a child on the way, it's just that I have been feeling completely and totally awful.
It seems like I hear so much from other people about how wonderful it was during their pregnancy. Having Fibromyalgia though, anything that makes the average person fatigued or experience pain, I get those effects at least 5 times worse. Being sick or overdoing things takes so much extra time to recover from. So, during this pregnancy so far I have been extremely exhausted, I feel as though I've barely been able to do anything, yet unable to sleep, and because of the lack of sleep it's just been adding and multiplying the pain that I normally feel. Also on top of being taken off most of my prescription medication I was on to help with the pain.
So, if this has anything to do with how you have been feeling, you are not alone! I don't know exactly how or what you've been feeling, but I know we must share very similar frustrations! I feel as though, yes I'm happy to have a child on the way, but I really don't know how in the world I'll be feeling at the end of this pregnancy if things continue the way they have been so far. I am SO ready to not feel so awful anymore.
Here's to hoping that our adverse symptoms don't last the entire pregnancy! Let's both try as hard as we can to hang in there!
