So, the plan is for a repeat c section scheduled at 39 weeks on Dec 1st. This is actually 2 days before my mother passed a year ago. Pretty bittersweet :) so fitting is the name, cassidy Jane after my mother Jane. To everything there is a season. And things have worked out this way. So thankful for 4 weeks left and the feeling that all this hard work has paid off!
I had a crash c-s with my third. I managed to have a vbac with my 4th. Have you contemplated a vbac and do you know if you would be a candidate, or have you rules out that possibility?
In any case, I understand that even if you DO have a repeat c-s, it is healthier for the mom and the baby if it is done while in the throes of labour, as opposed to a planned c-s, because this way, all the hormones act to jump start the baby, help with breathing, and help with mom's recovery too.
Of course, it is your choice, and I would not judge anyone who is going for a repeat c-s. Just want to make sure you know if there are any other options.
