I seen my midwife on thursday and I described that I was having these weird movements and you can see my whole stomach move and it lasts about 10-20 min and she said it sounds like hiccups. I don't ever remember it with my other 2. I have had it happen maybe 4 times and I'm almost 34 weeks now. Doesn't drive you nuts not being able to see what's going on?!! Can you see the movements?

I've been feeling my baby's hicups since she was 20 weeks gestation. Now that I am almost 24 wks I can feel her having them at least once a day. Hicups are one way that her longs are forming and getting stronger for the outside world. If you feel your baby having the hicups, just smile and know that her or his little body is preparing itself for the outside world. I dose feel funny though huh??? My whole belly will bounce with every hicup.

Yes hiccups are very normal and they can happen allllll the time.... Wait til you hear them on a fetal monitor.... sounds weird

My daughter is a month old and she STILL gets them all the time. They say babies inhale about a pint a day of the fluid to begin the process of preparing their lungs for the outside world and it can cause excess hiccups. My daughter would get them and get frustrated and move ALL THE TIME. So it's normal and believe me welcome it because it won't last much longer and means your little one is STRONG :-)

completing normal they say they are praticing breathing and that the hicupps dont hurt them at all infact it is a very good sign that they are being active. as far as the movement patterns ther bodys are getting bigger so there movement changes along with that . it is a very good sign if your baby is moving at all

Same here - my baby has had hiccups since at least 30-32 weeks. He was getting them 4 or more times a day, I'm due on Wed. and he's finally cut back to just once or twice a day. But it used to seem like he had them all the time!!

my son was keeping me up at night with his hiccups and i talked to my doc about it she said it was all normal. he gets them rarley now at 2 years and the odd thing is i find i miss feeling them.

Hiccups are normal...lol....and at 31 weeks the baby will start slowing his/her movement patterns due to getting more cramped in there. Just keep your dr. appts. so they can monitor him/her and as long as baby is growing and still moving some, you're ok. Remember baby is gaining about a pound a week at this point...lol...so I imagine all the soccer he/she has been playing is going to be much more difficult...lol...Good luck!

When I first read this post I thought it was ADORABLE! Then last night it happened to me too I think for the first time and I am 25 weeks. She moved a bit and then for about 3 minutes it was a constant thump in one area...like she was hiccuping rythmically....SO CUTE!! I might not think this is cute at 35 weeks, ha ha.
