Had mine in for almost 3 years and possibility I may be pregnant. Been to doc who is doing bloodwork next week and won't get results til week after. Missed 2 periods so far (always been regular even with Mirena) and my body is telling me I am pregnant. LMP was 16th dec. Had spotting 9/10th jan and 2nd feb but nothing else and no sign of AF. Still getting unclear hpts. Just done another (got a batch online) and got a line where a positive would show within 1 minute but it's so faint I don't know if my eyes are playing tricks.
Just wondered if anyone here has got pregnant on the Mirena as I know it has happened.

Nope. I had mine in for 3 years too. I thought I was pregnant too.. But I wasn't.. My body tricked me.. Have you been doing anything differently? I wasn't sexually active for a long time.. Then I was and I missed 2 periods too. All drug store tests said negative.. But it is possible to get pregnant on Mirena. The chances are less then 1% but it does happen esp if the IUD was not inserted correctly.

My sil got pregnant on it. Baby is 3 months now. Her pregnancy tests showed negative even a week before delivery, and she had her period all 9 months. She actually thought she had a tumor or something cause Dr said she wasnt pregnant (more than once I might add). She went to Dr because of pain and she was actually in labor. SURPRISE!! Crazy non typical story, but yes it can happen.

Not been doing anything differently at all. I cant feel my threads as about 3 months after having it fitted they retracted inside to the other side of my cervix. I had a scan at the time and it was still in good position then.
Up til now i have had regular periods on it bever been late at all and definately never been convinced I was pregnant on it before.
Surely my body wouldn't all of a sudden change to how it reacts with it? I mean its the same amount of hormones etc being secreted so surely i would just carry on having my regular period im used to.
I worry that the Mirena will cause problems if I am pregnant and it goes undetected. I had to beg my GP to do a blood test as she completely dismissed the idea as soon as she knew I had the coil.

I am so confused! My body has me convinced that I am!
