hi i am 40 years old planning to get preg but i am scared cuz i am on anxiety med it is lexapro
i am worried if that will effect the baby i have 2 teenagers already by the way

check with your med doc i or the otis.
Make sure that you look into studies that are about 20 years old. Most meds cause misscarriege or even birth defects.
You should check with your doc and research.. Cause everything i have read says that you shouldnt be on anything for one month prior and then the first three not on any meds what so ever. This is exactly what my doctor said and what i read..
If your going to be on meds make sure they are class c meds and check them out..

Im sure I already posted this but oh well lol I have PCOS an was told I couldnt have kids. I ended up pregnant and stayed on my Lexapro the entire time. My Dr said that the risks of coming off my meds are far worse than staying on them. I can tell you that I have missed my pills alot during this pregnancy and when I do I notice that my baby doesnt move as much. It's like if I am stressed and sad he is also. But talk to your Dr about this, DO NOT quit your meds cold turkey.
