I think it depends on what your fertility issues are. I've heard of it happening, but it won't happen to me as I lost both of my tubes and can only get PG through IVF... ever...sigh. Good luck to you though!

I've heard of it...but, we're only going to have one--so, I'm not going to worry about attempting to experience that first hand!

Thanks I did Ivf last may and now have a baby girl and seeing how it was my hubby who had low sperm count is the reason we did it this way I was just woundering about this. It is good to hear that some people do in fact get pg after the fact. fingers x I would lover to have a lot more but I watch john and kate pluse 8 and that is way to many. one or two would be enough for me.

My neighbor did IF for 3 children and decided she was done. After having so many problems, she never thought she needed birth control... and then got unexpectedly pregnant with #4. Also, a friend of mine who did IVF w/ donor eggs for her first baby was told she had a 1 in 1 million chance of conceiving on her own (problems with sperm motility as well as egg quality) got pregnant on her own in between ivf cycles last year. While the odds may be against it, science is not exact and you never know. Good luck!

My reply may not be what your looking for, but thought I would share my story. My husband had extremely low sperm count. Dr said our only hope was IVF or adoption. So we scheduled IVF Feb of this year. We conceived naturally in Dec. My point is that anything is possible and nothing is definite. Looking back at all we went thru, if we try for another, I at least have a very good idea of how much and when to BD. I keep thinking it was a fluke, but if I knew then what I know now, It seems like we could have gotten PG much sooner. Good luck!
