I don't really have "pain" or "advice" all I can say is from the 2nd trimester on...I have aches..nothing is unbearable...just something different all the time. The Dr's said it's growing and all these other reasons..and that I'm fine it's normal. I take a lot of warm baths and just try and rest when I can...the body pillow seems useless this time around but I use it...it's hard..I dont like pregnancy so it's even harder. When I stretch and keep moving I do feel better..so I will start walking soon...and doing more stretches. Good Luck..I know that I'm not helping..lol but we're in it together:)

This sounds like what I suffered from.... sciatica. It can start in your lower back and radiate down your legs. It always makes my legs almost give out. Extremely painful! I went to a chiropractor for mine and it worked amazingly. Massage therapy can also help quite a bit though it seemed only to aggravate mine. Hope this helps!

If it is in the front part of you hip, it could be a tendon or something similar, if it feels like it's in the back, it's probably the nerve jacksmama mentioned. I've had both during this pregnancy. I took tylenol and found it worked great. Good luck!

i do feel your pain! im at 27 weeks and this is also my second pregnancy and i didnt hurt anywhere near as bad the first time! ive had the horrible hip pain too! mostly in my right hip and lower back. warm baths are about the only thing that helps and tylenol does help a little bit. my husband is really good about massages but that only helps while he's actually doing it. the pain comes back right after he stops but at least its relief for a minute!

I had a wonderful doc with my 2nd pregnancy and she said that this kind of pain can be normal BUT sometimes (like in my case) if it gets in the way of daily activities it needs to be looked into. She referred me to a physical therapist. There I learned that with each pregnancy your tendons and ligaments in your pelvis become more stretched out out and less able to keep your joints where they belong. This can cause more aches and pains in pregnancy. In my case it had gotten so bad that my pelvis was out of place causing the muscles to try to pull everything where it SHOULD be and pinching that sciatic nerve. VERY PAINFUL!!

The physical therapist was an angel, adjusted me gently back into place(FELT SO GOOD) gave me some stretches and postitions to use at home (WHICH helped ALOT). Now with every pregnancy it gets worse, but I now know what it is and how to deal with it. Many docs have no idea or don't care. YES it's caused by pregnancy, YES you'll be "cured" in 9mos but who wants to be in that much pain for that long?!

Thank you. I do find baths and a massage from my husband helps but only temporary. Is there anything I can do before baby comes. I don't think I can cope with it for another 20 weeks. I know it's worth it in the end, but gosh I would prefer to go through labour than this go through another 20 weeks of this. :)
