I have not been pregnant before, but this year a close friend of mine just had a baby. She is 24 and her first trimester was HORRIBLE. She was exhausted, sick constantly, and so anxious she actually ended up quitting her job. She thought there would be no way to work through all of that. She was miserable. However, once she hit her second trimester, she was a different person. She felt so much better, was sleeping again, and the nausea was mostly gone. She ended up getting a part time job until the baby arrived.
Do your best to get good nights sleep. It is amazing what regular sleep can do for anxiety. Have you tried taking Vitamin D also? Call your Dr. about adding it to whatever you already take. They suggest at least 2,000 units usually, but that can really help with anxiety too.
Another tip from my mom is to keep Saltines by your bed. When you wake up in the morning, have a saltine before the nausea kicks in. Keep some at your desk and in your purse and try to keep up with a few saltine crackers through the day.
I'm sorry you're feeling so crummy, but it is temporary. You can get through this. Best of luck. I hope you're feeling better soon. Keep us posted!
I am pregnant with my second baby and I had horrible nausea and fatigue for both in the first trimester. It started at about 7 weeks and didn't go away until about 18 weeks. The first time I just dealt with it because I thought it was normal, but the second time was worse. I had to go to urgent care for dehydration too. They prescribed me doxylamine/pyridoxine (DICLEGIS) to take for the nausea. It is totally safe during pregnancy and is considered a Class A pregnancy drug which means that it has no affect on the baby. =). I took that until the nausea went away. I was a totally different person after that. And yes, the second trimester is WAY easier than the first. It gets better, and when your baby comes you will tell yourself you will do it all over again.
And mild dose benadryl possibly for anxiety and help to sleep...
