I am the father of a 16 week developing in the womb baby. I am excited because I love kids and always wanted to be a daddy. I'm nervous because what if I fail to be a good daddy? What if I do something wrong? I'm scared because it's 16 weeks and she just told me she maybe pregnant the other day just before we hurried to find out. She's on a lot of medicine the doctor told her she needed to get off of because it's harmful for the baby. Specifically ADHD. I don't know what class her medicine was so I'm not sure where this doctors position on which category is harmful if it maybe an alright category but just she wants to take precautions. It's 16 weeks though and I'm scared of all the stuff that could have happened to the baby by now that could be potentially harmful.

Try not to worry too much about the medication before you get more information. I take medication for bipolar. My psychiatrist was very stressed out and worried about it, but my obstetrician was not so I decided to stay on it, and my son was born healthy. See if you can talk to a perinatal psychiatrist, they have more information.
