Pregnancy - Teens Support Group
This community is dedicated to the experience of being pregnant as a teenager. Pregnant teenagers face many of the same obstetrics issues as women in their 20s and 30s. However, there are additional medical concerns for younger mothers, particularly those under 15 and those living in developing countries. For mothers between 15 and 19, age in itself is not a risk factor,...

I have one! Its with my second (she was born when I was 20. I'm now 23). I was induce as she was 9 days late. (Thats the worst part of my story. lol) I had 7hrs of mild contractions, then only pushed between 3 and 5 times. It was a breeze. AND no pain meds. Best of luck!!!

My labor was no where near as bad as everyone told me it'd be. It only lasted 4 hours in total, and I was so terrified before giving birth that I begged for a c-section. I was having panic attacks and did not think I'd survive it lol. In the end, I only had 3 or 4 really bad contractions and even they were manageable, they just felt like I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally needed the toilet lol. When I pushed, the contractions didn't hurt, the painful ones were just before I was told I could push and I really wanted to. When I pushed it stung 'down below' a little but again not too bad, and I am normally very bad with pain. I had some morphine which helped take the edge off and relaxed me. There was no time for the epi i previously was intent on having. For me, the injection to deliver the placenta was worse than all of it because I hate needles lol. It definitely was not the most painful thing in my life. It hurt sure but nothing to be too scared of.

I didn't have a hard or scary labor. I was induced at 39weeks and 2 days. I was dilated to a 4 for 2 weeks. I wasn't feeling any contractions because of my water. So I went in at 7am and they started inducing me, broke my water and I started having contractions. My contractions got to the highest they could, but I managed. I was so set on not wanting to have any medicine. So I was at a 10 and started pushing. At 2:55pm he was here. It really isn't as bad as people make it sound. I didn't even know they delivered the placenta. It really isn't that bad. I do really bad with pain but I did everything good during my labor. I didn't scream or anything. Good luck.
