Coping with pregnancy after stillbirth
I LOst my angel 1/17/10 at 18 weeks 5 days due to a cord accident. I am now 30 weeks with my rainbow. I have been going every 5 weeks or so for a sono and meeting with my hight risk then also and seeing my ob every 2 weeks. after my checkup checking the babys heart rate my ob asked when I was starting nst tests and I said the high risk had not said anything about it to me so I didnt know he seemed fustrated and said just a minute I will go get it set up I want you to go this week 2 times a week. I became conserned and ask if he noticed any issues and he said no everything looks great. so my thought is why is he so upset then that I had not done nst tests yet and wht is he having me go twice a week. then did you all start nst tests and how often. Im so scared that he just is not tellign me something

i think its just a precaution. i had them twice a week starting at 32 weeks

I had them twice a week as well, I think they just like to be safe and I think they also know that it makes us feel better since we've had previous losses.

I'm only 16 weeks but the plan is to start NST's twice weekly starting at 30 weeks. I think this is pretty much the protocol for those w/previous losses and is done as a precaution.

Your care plan is similar to mine. I go once a week to the ob, and once every 4 weeks to the peri (we start growth scans on Tuesday). I start NSTs at 32 weeks once a week and then at 34 weeks I will go twice. From that point on we will be playing it by ear. I lost Lily at 39 weeks so if I need to go in more during the week, they said that would be fine. Your doctor was probably just concerned and wanted to make sure you were being monitored. It's good he wants to be proactive!!

I agree with the other ladies. I am only 23 weeks and haven't started my NST's yet but my friend who had a previous loss had them twice a week with her rainbow baby too.

I started them at 28 weeks at once a week just as a precautionary measure.

I started at 32weeks. You cannot really start then until about 28-30weeks, so it sounds like you are right on track.

I had 2x a week .. I can't remember when I started. 30 or 32 weeks. Don't stress, once you go to them, you'll love it!. Relaxing, sitting still and listening to the sound of your baby's heart is so beautiful!

I am almost 20 weeks now and my OB said they will start me on NST twice a week starting 28 weeks.
