Today I am 19 weeks along with my rainbow baby. I lost My 3rd child a son at 18 weeks 5 days right before my 2 tri sono. well tomorrow is that for my rainbow. I am nervious and scared that something will be wrong. I know my rainbow has a strong heartbeat but other than that I dont know. I also am nervious about the sex of this one, My husband and I have 2 other children with us both Girls and we have really desired a son. It was heart breaking to know that he was lost. 5 people in my family are expecting or have had a baby this year and they were alll boys. I know my rainbow will not replace my angel but I so want it to be a boy.dont get me wrong I will be happy if its a girl healthy and kicking btu I thnk this is our last so I really want to gove my husband the son that he dint get the chance to raise or even the joy of knowing he was a boy until after death. does anyone else feel lik this? I just feel lost right now. rther way I LOVE this baby and will not let go
I felt the same way before my 18.5 week sono. I couldn't stand the thought of not being pregnant with a boy. My firstborn was a girl and since she passed I didn't think I could stand the thought of carrying another girl. However, God had other plans. It is another girl and as the weeks go on and I get closer to hopefully a happy end to this pregnancy, I love, love, LOVE that I'm having another girl!
Those days before that sonogram were drenched in fear & anxiety though. Your emotions will ease up a bit once you're through the appointment. Going through this pregnancy has been riddled with intrepedation, but it does get a bit easier as you get farther along. I'm thinking of you & will keep you in my prayers. You're doing great, you've made it about halfway & I am so proud of you for having the strength you do!
I know what you mean. I have my 2nd Tri-Sono in two weeks. I am a nervous wreck about it! I have already had several ultrasounds but my little munchkin is in a difficult position and they have never been able to see him/her even clearly enough to give me a picture. We always see and hear the heartbeat but that is all I know too. My angel baby was a girl and I so desperately want this baby to be a girl as well. I do already have two children. One boy and one girl but I so very much wanted that second girl. I do know however that I will love this baby no matter what it is!!
